Mark Lalama is one of Canada's most accomplished musicians.  He has performed with, and/or appeared on record with a multitude of artists including; Mariah Carey, Jon Bon Jovi & Richie Sambora, Tom Jones, Anne Murray, Jann Arden, Martina McBride, Michael MacDonald, Olivia Newton-John, Paul Anka, Roger Hodgson, Dennis DeYoung, Guido Basso, Amy Sky, Marc Jordan, Susan Aglukark, George Fox, Frank Mills...and many more.   As pianist and arranger for the CTV hit show Canadian Idol he has worked with the best in young canadian talent as well as artists Tony Bennett, Nelly Furtado, Bryan Adams, John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, The Barenaked Ladies, Hedley, Simple Plan, Enrique Iglasias, Cyndi Lauper, and many more.  He has written and/or produced with or for Amy Sky, Marc Jordan, RyanDan, Lucas Rossi, David Tyson, Accordion Crimes (www.accordioncrimes.ca), the Mantini Sisters, Elvis Stojko, and the group 'Braided', who had a number one hit with his song 'A Little Bit Closer.'  He has composed music for television shows across the programming spectrum and recently scored a series for Discovery Channel U.S. that was nominated for a 2007 Emmy Award.  He has performed for Jean Chretien, Jacques Chiraq, and former vice-president, Al Gore.  Recently, Mark composed and produced 3 original songs for the feature film, 'Gooby', scheduled for a 2009 U.S. theatre release.  He also sings the theme song of the animated hit series 'Toot and Puddle' on Treehouse TV. You can go to www.rankincancerrun.com to hear and download '3 Chord Song'-the song Mark donated to raise money for cancer research and treatment in Niagara.  Mark works primarily out of his state of the art recording studio, "The Old Sumbler House" which boasts 5 isolation rooms and a wide range of vintage, analog, and digital gear.  Mark holds a bachelor of fine arts degree from York University where he studied music composition and performance with John Gittens, Frank Falco, Mark Eiseman, and Oscar Peterson, amongst others. Niagara born and raised, Mark makes his home in the beautiful metropolis of Fenwick, Ontario.
