The Usual Suspects

The Usual Suspects are five dedicated music-loving veterans who have been entertaining in the Niagara Region live music circuit for the last dozen years. The band consists of:

Jennifer Lynn (vocals)
Ed Bertoli (guitar and vocals)
Ernie Jodoin (bass)
Wayne Hosick (guitars, mandolin, and vocals)
Bob Hewer (percussion, vocals)

The result is a musical collaboration that truly loves to perform the classics as well as contemporary rock, country, and R&B, all wrapped up in a rhythmic but very ear-friendly sensibility. Influences for the band's music extend far and wide:

Jennifer is a singer songwriter who has recorded and released her own original music on CD . While her style leans considerably in the direction of country music, she is comfortable in several genres including Classic Rock, as witnessed in her solo acoustic performances.

Bob loves rock and country, and has a special spot for 50s classics which he can belt out with very little provocation. 

Wayne is more steeped in roots, Celtic, and folk music, and he keeps those urges satiated with annual pilgrimages to various traditional music workshops and events. But his knowledge of good old rock music has resulted in more than one expulsion from music trivia contests.

Ed's musical education is also mostly of the Classic Rock variety, having worked with several musicians in Kitchener and Niagara. He has penned and released a collection of songs and has an original CD to his credit.

Ernie keeps the group firmly grounded with his bass lines. He has played with many local musicians in a variety of musical genres.  He's also been known to drag the bass to open jam sessions in Florida during his snowbird excursions.

The band's shows have been very well received, with people commenting on the solid instrumentation and on the soaring multi-part harmonies that have become our trademark. We have a sizable repertoire of tunes at our disposal, and are constantly adding and updating them to suit the needs of the venue. The Usual Suspects will be playing the classic and contemporary songs that your patrons know and love!
